This Space Saver Coil System consists of a motorized Coil Reel with hydraulic expansion and a Servo Feed-Straightener. The reel is controlled by a sonic loop control device, through a 3 hp AC variable speed drive. The Servo Feed-Straightener features an AC brushless servo drive and control to provide precise feeding of material to the press. This particular servo feeder has 4" feed rolls and can handle 36" wide material at .125" thick. The seven roll Pull-Thru Straightener is mounted before the feed rolls and effectively removes coil set curvature. The system consists of a DR8036 reel, a DRFS436 Servo Feed-Straightener, and a sonic loop control stand.

CHS Automation has developed a wide rage of Coil Handling Systems to meet our customer's needs. This Space Saver Feed Line was designed for a stamping company in Michigan.  The motorized reel handles 20,000 lb, 30" wide coils. It features a hold down arm with a motorized end wheel, six coil keeper arms, and a clock spring guard. The exiting thread table allows easy threading of material into the Feeder-Straightener. The Servo Feeder pulls the material through the straightener then feeds within .002" accuracy into the press. The attached straightener features seven hardened and ground straightening rolls and power adjustable pinch rolls.

This Space Saver Feed Line handles 66" wide, .170" thick material. The motorized reel is equipped with a clock spring guard, a traveling load car, hydraulic expansion, eight coil keeper arms, and can handle a 30,000 lb coil. The traveling load car makes for easy coil loading and reduces change over time. This line also features a peeler-threader-hold down station with a motorized end wheel. The Servo Feeder-Straightener is a DRFS866 with eight inch feed rolls. The straightener features automatic lubrication, seven hardened and ground straightening rolls, and power adjustable pinch rolls.   

DR300-66, DRFS866, PTH66

This Space Saver Feed Line was manufactured for a tool and die company in Michigan. It handles 20,000lb, 24" wide reels of .200" thick material. The reel has a traveling load car, clock spring guard, and uses space saver loop control. The space saver loop control allows slack to be held around the reel as opposed to using a lengthy loop. The Servo Feed-Straightener features 5" feed rolls, a seven roll Pull-Thru Straightener with power pinch rolls, and has an attached peeler-threader-hold down station. This system consists of a DR200-24 reel with load car, a DRFS524 feeder-straightener, and a PTH24.
